Product Description

  • There are many theories about what causes aging at the cellular level. One key focus begs the question “Can telomeres prolong life?” Scientists contine to research the role of the telomere in DNA replication.
  • The importance of telomere science is staggering, so critical that the Nobel Prize in Medicine was jointly awarded to 3 scientists "for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and the enzyme telomerase".

Citation: MLA style: "The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2009". Nobel Media AB 2014. Web. 1 Feb 2017.

  • The UCSF telomere study unlocks its secrets even further, discovering a part of the telomere that may rebuild damaged cells, target cancer cells, and possibly launch an assault on HIV.
  • The key enzyme, telomerase is often inactive in adult tissues, until lots of cell replication occurs, such as in your immune system.  When it’s working, the telomerase function is to create a favorable environment for telomeres to grow, increasing cell division and potentially improving the life span of your cells.
  • Clearly, telomerase and aging goes hand in hand.  While all these breakthroughs continue in telomerase biochemistry, stay as healthy as you can so you can take advantage of everything antiaging science has to offer.  Maintain your telomere length with Dr. Dave’s Best Telomere Edge Packs.

Dr. Dave’s Best Telomere Edge Packs are designed to help preserve the length of your telomeres, the tiny “end caps” at the end of your DNA strands, that keep the strands from unravelling, as they replicate.  Scientists often compare them to the caps at the end of a shoelace, which hold the strands together.

If you’re interested in antiaging, you should care a whole lot about telomeres because they’re one of the most important factors in preserving your body’s youthful, efficient functioning.  They are the key to healthy cell replication and disease prevention, helping preserve the quality of your life as the clock ticks on.

Formerly viewed as genetic junk, scientists have discovered that these end caps of amino acids play a key role in maintaining the integrity of your DNA, as it copies itself over and over again, a continuous process that’s part of everyday living.

Bad things happen when telomeres get short. When your cells get to the point where they lose the ability to replicate (they’re old) they either implode (apoptosis) or just wither up and die (senescence).

Dr. Dave’s Best Telomere Edge Packs help slow down telomere loss, maintaining the biologic fuse, or time clock, that determines how long most cells will live.

While we can’t make any definitive claims about Dr.Dave's Best Telomere Edge Packs, some effects you might expect from slower telomere loss are:

  • A longer, healthier life
  • Stronger immune function
  • Improved skin tone
  • Lower body fat
  • Better tolerance to carbohydrates, sugar and cholesterol
  • More energy and better sex drive

Based on the plan outlined in the book, The Immortality Edge, these packets are a supplemental intervention, designed to support telomere maintenance.  They come in 2 separate bottles, AM and PM so all the work is done for you.  All you have to do is take them.

Supplement Facts

The ABCs of TTAGG:

The older you get the more likely you are to die. That seems obvious but, actually, it’s more complicated than that.  Interesting fact is, only about 6% of your increased probability of dying, is due to chronological age alone. There are other variables, but one of the critical influences is short telomeres.

Here are some of the common questions and answers Dr. Dave’s Best has exchanged back and forth with our customers, addressing telomeres and the “disease” of aging:

TTAGG – the repeating sequence of nucleotides in human telomeres found at the end of chromosomes (2 thymine nucleotides, 1 adenine nucleotide and 3 guanine nucleotides)

Why do we need telomeres?

  • If your cells didn’t have telomeres, the part of your chromosomes containing essential genes would shorten every time the cell divides.
  • Chromosome ends might fuse together and screw up the cell’s genetic message, causing mutations, dysfunction or scenescence (cell death).
  • Since broken DNA is a scary thing, your cells have the ability to identify and repair chromosome damage. If chromosomes didn’t have telomeres, your cells ability to replicate would diminish, causing your cells to stop dividing and die off.

What does telomerase do?

  • Telomerase is an enzyme that creates an environment favorable for telomeres to lengthen, adding base pairs to the ends.
  • If a cell is young, telomerase keeps telomeres from shortening, but as cells continue to divide, there isn’t enough telomerase naturally, so the telomeres shorten and the cell ages and dies.

Are telomeres the key to aging?

  • Research at the University of Utah has shown that shorter telomeres are correlated with shorter lives. If you are older than 60 and you have shorter telomeres, your risk is eight times higher of dying from infectious disease and three times higher of dying from heart disease.
  • Scientists have been able to keep human cells dividing way beyond their normal limit by introducing telomerase.
  • Shorter telomeres are associated with shorter lifespans, among other factors in aging such as glycation, methylation, chronic inflammation and hormonal decline.

What kind of diseases might I get if my telomeres are short?

Here’s the short list:

  • Higher risk of life-threatening infections
  • Leukemia and blood cancers
  • Cirrhosis of the liver
  • Intestinal disease
  • Pulmonary fibrosis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Alzheimers
  • Hardening of the arteries
  • High blood pressure
  • Type 2 diabetes

So, if your telomeres are short, you’ve got a really good chance of something bad happening.  Why take the risk if you can do something about it?  Your future is in your hands, take Dr. Dave’s Telomere Edge Packs and help maintain your telomere length.
